Akita Wooden Training Project
With a slogan of "hundred years wooden training toys and hundred years traditional crafts", Akita Wooden Training Project promotes an environment in which Japanese woodworking techniques and traditional crafts can prosper.
By encouraging the interaction with woods and feeling close to them, the concept of "Wooden Training" aims to produce wooden training toys that maximize growth of sensibility and ability.
The result is a toy that brings joy cumulatively step by step or "one by one" when played with.
The product thereby helps to provide children with self-confidence and the courage to express themselves, developing a sound connection between mind and body as they receive encouragement through the act of playing.
The organization plans various events, engages in OEM production, and builds systems to pass on Japanese traditional crafts via the next generation of unprecedented products.
Volunteers of companies, groups and individuals who conduct creative activities in Akita Prefecture get together and engage in the production of original and unique goods inspired by "Wooden Training" and "traditional crafts".
Today we focus on product planning in order to meet world standards taking advantage of the synergy between the hardware side of wood production and expertise of Works Guild Japan Co., Ltd. and the software side of design ability and communication building of FORTUNA Inc. utilizing online content. This kind of product planning is impossible if we conduct business within the scope of a single industry.
